Granny gets a good night's sleep!

Unfortunately, I was not able to give Lucy a rest ..... I slept through Taylor's waking up all night! Fortunately, Lucy had decided to stay the night as well and didn't get the rest she was hoping for!
Managed to sell a few white goods to some colleagues ... just have the fridge and dish washer left!
Lucy cut my hair today - it looks fantastic, even if I say so myself. We went for a long walk today, including down to where we are moving to. We even stopped in the 'local' for an alcoholic beverage. oooh, and I also went to a car boot sale. I bought Elizabeth a purple Barney - she mislaid hers when she was a baby - it was only 30p. I bought Taylor a cardboard book to eat for 20p and I also bought a full length mirror on a stand for a fiver - I was well impressed. Went to Newton for lunch. Also went to visit my granny and grandfather's grave - the stone needs a scrub. Went inside the church where we got married. Tried to persuade my mother and daddy that they would like to adopt Poppy - but alas they cant. Got some marking done. Played some Soroity Life. AND I gambled online and won £2. Something I have never done before! I could quite easily get addicted BEST I STOP!!!! I now have to think about planning my lessons for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Insomnia??

I keep waking up in the early hours of the morning and not being able to get back to sleep. The other day I managed to get an Open University assignment done - but last night, I just played my latest Facebook obsession Sorority Life!

Today, I am mainly feeling very sleepy and I have Taylor to stay tonight - to give Lucy a rest! I HAVE LOADS OF MARKING TO DO! I'm shouting to wake myself up! I need to get on with it!

4 years later and Keenan ate Kel!!!

I suddenly remembered I started this blog back in 2005! It made me laugh looking at some of the posts I made! Gas and AC/DC and the Story of the Tortoise! It also made me realise how easy it is to forget things that happen - unless you write them down somewhere! So here goes, another attempt at blogging my life!

Today was fun, I had a meeting with Paul Press from Offshoot Films and we discussed his next venture. Of course, I am now Head of Media Studies and I am so enthused about this! There is so much I want to do - but alas, lack of school funds means I am somewhat limited in what we can do! What I need is some kind local business who would like to put 5k into my budget!

I was also Dr Sue in the ICT Surgery and issued two prescriptions!

This week saw the death of Kel - we think Keenan attempted to eat him! (BTW Keenan and Kel are goldfish and belong to the media studies group, who raised the money to buy them!)

I am moving house next week - so a busy weekend looms!

Can you smell Gas?

Gosh, I shall never get over today. I smelt gas in E12, went to check with other teachers and in other rooms and we could all smell gas. "Evacuate" we ALL shouted ...... not just me!! Anyway, the whole of E Block evacuated itself..... its amazing how quickly things can spread! It transpires, that Peter Wood's lighter exploded in his pocket!!!! Imagine how dangerous that would have been to Peter's private credentials, if there had been a "bright spark around" - unlikely! Anyway, here's to the people who thought I over reacted .... but hey, what if it had been real! BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.

Trouble is, everytime I passsed another teacher .... there were chuckles of "can you smell gas?" TEE HEE HEE

Uploading an Assignment

I am just about to show you all how to upload an Assignment using gcus.learn.net. I will tell you when I want something done and something uploaded.

Today, if you log onto learn.gcus.net and go to ICT / GCE Applied ICT AS - Under Unit 1, at the very bottom you will see a link to Summer Task.

If you have done your Summer Task, and I sincerely hope you have, you should click on the link and upload it to me. I will then grade it and email you.

If you haven't done your Summer Task, then get on with it ...... it is listed under Unit 1. You must upload it by tomorrow (Thursday) night!!
